Bespoke sash windows hand-crafted in our Edinburgh workshop

Hand Crafted, New Sash Windows
Timber sash and case windows have been around since the 1670’s. They are typically found in Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian houses and have stood the test of time very well.
Eco Sash & Case use manufacturing methods that are sympathetic to time-honoured traditional techniques, such as hand-cut mortise and tenon joints, rarely seen in machine-made windows today.
Tailor‐Made Wooden Sash Windows
We can manufacture superior, made-to-measure sash and case windows for your listed building, replicating your original windows and any sash and astragal moulds. This ensures your new wooden windows fit and look perfect.
In addition:
- All our windows come with draught seals as standard.
- We can use specialist acoustic glass, if you have problems with noise.

Banish Draughts with Single or Doubled Glazed Sash Windows
Whether you require us to make single glazed windows for your property or would like to upgrade to double glazing, we will add our innovative draught‐proofing system to your new windows.
This will help eliminate draughts to create a warm, comfortable home.

Heritage Double Glazing
Traditional glazing check and solid astragals in the sashes with the added benefit of double glazing.
We can manufacture sash and case windows with heritage slim double glazing. This neater style of double glazing is considerably narrower than conventional double glazing with an 8mm sight line that sits well in the astragals glazing check. The heritage slim double glazing can be secured with traditional putty or angled timber glazing beads.
Timber Window Choices
We manufacture our windows from the highest quality timber available, and redwood is our clients’ most popular timber choice. The pulley styles are produced from a part of the tree known as the sideboards. These cuts of the redwood tree are low in timber knots and shakes in the redwood, which improves sash and case window stability. Redwood windows will last a lifetime if they are cared for properly.
Some clients also prefer to have their windows manufactured with a redwood case and sashes but upgrade the case sill and sash bottom rail to meranti hardwood. We can also manufacture from other types of timber such as Douglas Fir and Oak.
